Lab Technician

Responsibilities

• Produce high-quality eyewear using the Quality Manufacturing Program, including lens selection, marking, blocking, edging, and coating.
• Operate, clean, and perform basic maintenance on laboratory tools and equipment.
• Diagnose and solve equipment issues and follow up on manufacturing discrepancies.
• Perform multiple tasks simultaneously with accuracy and thoroughness under time pressure.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe laboratory and stock room environment.
• Comply with all safety and regulatory requirements, including the proper use of personal protective equipment and chemical storage.
• Input lab statistics into the Point of Sale system with high attention to detail.

Requirements

• High School Graduate or equivalent.
• Strong customer service skills (both internal and external).
• Strong basic math skills.
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication, listening, and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in an optical setting.
• Formal optical training.
• Experience operating industrial machinery.
