Lab Technician

Responsibilities

• Conduct quality control testing on particleboard samples using established laboratory protocols
• Operate and maintain laboratory equipment and measurement instruments
• Perform detailed analysis of test results and compile data into organized reports
• Document all test findings, measurements, and observations with precision
• Analyze test data to identify trends, anomalies, and areas for process improvement
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standard operating procedures
• Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and coordinate maintenance
• Collaborate with production and quality assurance teams to implement corrective actions
• Maintain a clean and organized laboratory workspace
• Assist in calibrating and validating laboratory instruments

Requirements

• Proven experience in laboratory testing and quality control analysis
• Knowledge of particleboard manufacturing or wood product industry standards
• Proficiency in operating laboratory equipment and analytical instruments
• Strong data analysis and record-keeping skills
• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational abilities
• Solid understanding of safety protocols and compliance requirements
• Ability to follow standard operating procedures consistently
• Ability to use power tools, measuring devices, and hand tools
• Competent technical communication and report-writing skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with statistical analysis and quality control methodologies
• Familiarity with Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS)
• Background in equipment calibration and validation
• Knowledge of industry-specific testing standards and certifications
• Experience with Microsoft Office and data analysis software
