Lab Technician

Responsibilities

• Perform analysis of raw materials, washcoats, impregnation solutions, and finished catalysts using various instrumental techniques.
• Conduct sample preparation for chemical and physical measurements.
• Utilize analytical instruments including ICP-OES, X-Ray Fluorescence, Particle size distribution, and Thermo-Gravimetric Analysis.
• Ensure accurate data entry and export within the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS).
• Maintain laboratory equipment through regular calibration and maintenance.
• Adhere to all Health, Safety, and Environmental (EHS) procedures and regulations.
• Participate in LEAN deployment initiatives such as 5S and Kaizen to improve operational efficiency.
• Prepare ICP calibration standards with independent verification.

Requirements

• B-Tech certificate or B.Sc. professional qualification in chemistry.
• Experience or education equivalent to "A" level standard with at least two years of experience in the chemical industry.
• Understanding of general wet chemical techniques for inorganic analysis.
• Working knowledge of analytical instrumental techniques used in QC laboratories.
• Awareness of ISO/IEC 17025 and IATF 16949 quality standards.
• Ability to work the 3rd shift (10:30 PM to 7:00 AM).
