Lab Technician - Innovation & Solution Development

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and non-routine analytical tests on polymer materials, including viscosity measurements, molecular weight determination (GPC), and monomeric determination (GC)
• Plan, coordinate, and prioritize laboratory activities to ensure efficient workflow and sample intake to final reporting
• Take ownership of laboratory organization, ensuring work is executed according to SOPs, safety standards, and quality requirements
• Review and verify analytical results and reports before release
• Troubleshoot analytical and operational issues and provide guidance to less experienced technicians
• Maintain and improve lab documentation and implement improvements in safety, efficiency, and quality
• Collaborate with scientists, polymer synthesis teams, and quality stakeholders

Requirements

• MBO 4 or bachelor’s degree in Analytical Chemistry or a related field
• Several years of experience in an analytical lab performing routine analyses
• Proficiency with analytical techniques such as viscosity measurements and chromatography (GC, GPC)
• Strong organizational, planning, and communication skills
• Ability to take ownership of lab operations in a quality-driven environment
• Fluency in English
• Must currently reside in the Netherlands

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with polymer analysis
• Experience in a regulated or GLP-like environment
• Experience in mentoring or coordinating colleagues
