Lab Technician

Responsibilities

• Prepare laboratory equipment and cannabis plant materials for extraction
• Operate intricate extraction equipment in accordance with SOPs
• Process cannabis concentrates and extracts
• Deliver on production goals while focusing on safety and quality
• Produce product per recipes and SOPs, maintaining high quality standards
• Clean and maintain extraction equipment and laboratory facility
• Store supplies, dispose of waste, and keep working areas sanitary
• Wash and sterilize laboratory glassware
• Monitor production line and collect samples for analysis
• Follow SOP and standard analytical procedures to meet GLP and GMP compliance
• Record data in lab notebooks, computer databases, and test reports

Requirements

• Minimum of 21 years of age
• Ability to pass required background checks and receive an Agent badge
• Basic math skills
• Familiarity with OSHA guidelines for hazardous chemicals
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
• Ability to stand or walk for extended periods
• Ability to work in an environment with daily exposure to allergens (cannabis, tree nuts, coconut oil)

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate or 4-year degree in biology, chemistry, or physics
• Prior production laboratory or manufacturing experience
• Experience working in regulated environments
• Prior extraction experience, specifically cannabis extraction
