Lab Technician

Responsibilities

• Conduct in-process and finished product testing on dry and liquid products to ensure adherence to quality and purity specifications.
• Perform analysis of samples following defined Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Document all testing results and notify operations and supervisors of any required adjustments to operating procedures.
• Maintain retained samples of shipped products to confirm test results when necessary.
• Perform light maintenance and calibration on laboratory equipment to ensure accuracy.
• Manage laboratory supplies, including preparing chemical solutions and restocking inventory.
• Maintain a clean and organized working area through regular equipment washing and cleaning tasks.
• Collaborate with team members and assist in training less experienced technicians.

Requirements

• 2 or 4-year science-related degree (preferred).
• Completion of all required safety training and commitment to following safety procedures.
• Basic proficiency with computers and email.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to produce quality work.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work with a team orientation and show initiative under limited supervision.
• Availability to work overtime and weekends as necessary.
• Ability to utilize lab instruments and basic hand tools correctly.
