About the role
Responsibilities
- Conduct in-process and finished product testing on dry and liquid products to ensure adherence to quality and purity specifications.
- Perform analysis of samples following defined Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Document all testing results and notify operations and supervisors of any required adjustments to operating procedures.
- Maintain retained samples of shipped products to confirm test results when necessary.
- Perform light maintenance and calibration on laboratory equipment to ensure accuracy.
- Manage laboratory supplies, including preparing chemical solutions and restocking inventory.
- Maintain a clean and organized working area through regular equipment washing and cleaning tasks.
- Collaborate with team members and assist in training less experienced technicians.
Requirements
- 2 or 4-year science-related degree (preferred).
- Completion of all required safety training and commitment to following safety procedures.
- Basic proficiency with computers and email.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to produce quality work.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work with a team orientation and show initiative under limited supervision.
- Availability to work overtime and weekends as necessary.
- Ability to utilize lab instruments and basic hand tools correctly.
