Lab Technician

Responsibilities

• Assist in the setup, calibration, and maintenance of laboratory equipment across mechanical, electrical, civil, and materials engineering disciplines
• Support engineers and researchers in conducting experiments, preparing samples, and recording data
• Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of lab equipment and coordinate vendor repairs
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a clean, organized lab environment
• Monitor and manage lab supplies, inventory, and restocking
• Provide guidance and training to new lab personnel and interns

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in engineering technology or Laboratory Science
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a laboratory setting
• Proficiency in using laboratory equipment and instrumentation
• Knowledge of relevant software and data analysis tools
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to lift and move equipment weighing up to 22 Kg
• Ability to stand for extended periods
