Lab Technician

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe, clean lab facility following health hazard and safety regulations
• Develop and maintain written processes for tissue handling, bloodborne pathogens, and radiation safety
• Coordinate specimen procurement, handling, and disposition with tissue banks and vendors
• Prepare specimens for lab events through thawing, positioning, and assisting in surgical dissections
• Act as surgical scrub or circulating technician during lab events
• Operate c-arm fluoroscope and train team members on its use
• Manage lab inventory including disposable surgical supplies and instrument sets
• Monitor lab equipment for calibration and repair

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED
• Detail oriented with ability to manage a demanding lab schedule
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Ability to work within a cross-functional team
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Ability to travel occasionally to company sponsored events

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in a surgical or mock surgical setting
• Knowledge of health hazard regulations and processes
