Lab Tech 1

Responsibilities

• Process and perform diagnostic tests on blood, urine, fecal, or histology samples using automated analyzers and microscopes.
• Set up and run lab tests, read results, and release them according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Perform daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance on laboratory analyzers.
• Manage sample accessioning, specimen tracking, and packaging for shipments to other laboratories.
• Follow QC standards, EHS practices, and regulatory guidelines for medical and biohazardous waste disposal.
• Maintain accurate laboratory logs, including maintenance, environmental, and cleaning records.
• Troubleshoot sample integrity issues and respond to customer concerns via Salesforce ticketing.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent required (BS/BA preferred).
• 1+ years of experience in a clinical laboratory setting.
• Fluency in the English language.
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
• Ability to sit and stand for long periods of time.
• Availability to work specific shifts: Tues–Fri 9:00pm–5:30am and Sat 7:00pm–3:30am.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science (BS) or Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent data entry skills.
• Proven ability to work with minimal supervision and manage time effectively.
