Lab Process Attendant

Responsibilities

• Perform chemical and physical tests on raw materials, fuels, and finished products to ensure compliance with ASTM requirements.
• Collect samples from various production stages and maintain accurate records of test results in the laboratory database.
• Advise supervisors and control room operators of unusual test results or necessary process changes to maintain quality standards.
• Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, including Robolab and backup manual equipment.
• Maintain a safe working environment by adhering to MSHA safety rules, lockout/tagout policies, and proper waste disposal procedures.
• Perform daily housekeeping, workplace inspections, and assist in the Physical Test Lab as needed.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to drive and operate heavy equipment, including front-end loaders, skid steers, forklifts, and bobcats.
• Knowledge of equipment used in cement manufacturing.
• Strong data collection, analysis, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to define problems, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
