Lab Pack Program Specialist

Responsibilities

• Review and approve/reject broker and self-pack packing lists prior to packaging and receiving of wastes
• Provide Sales support by creating estimates from site walks and inventories for lab pack, DEA, and high haz work
• Develop and implement training for field and plant personnel via classroom and in-field training
• Provide immediate chemical and regulatory support for operations, sales, EHS, and customer service
• Create packing slips and necessary paperwork for lab pack shipments
• Audit internal and external lab packed jobs and container packaging
• Assist in the field for large lab pack projects when needed

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Chemistry, Biology or equivalent related experience
• Minimum 3 years of lab pack experience including segregation, waste code assignment, and shipping
• Strong knowledge of EPA and DOT regulations and state waste regulations
• General knowledge of basic chemistry and waste treatment technologies
• Current OSHA 40-hr and DOT/RCRA training

Preferred Qualifications

• Ability to travel nationwide at least 20% of the time
• Willingness to wear personal protection equipment including respirators and Tyvek coveralls
• Strong communication and computer skills
