About the role
Responsibilities
- Review and approve/reject broker and self-pack packing lists prior to packaging and receiving of wastes
- Provide Sales support by creating estimates from site walks and inventories for lab pack, DEA, and high haz work
- Develop and implement training for field and plant personnel via classroom and in-field training
- Provide immediate chemical and regulatory support for operations, sales, EHS, and customer service
- Create packing slips and necessary paperwork for lab pack shipments
- Audit internal and external lab packed jobs and container packaging
- Assist in the field for large lab pack projects when needed
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Chemistry, Biology or equivalent related experience
- Minimum 3 years of lab pack experience including segregation, waste code assignment, and shipping
- Strong knowledge of EPA and DOT regulations and state waste regulations
- General knowledge of basic chemistry and waste treatment technologies
- Current OSHA 40-hr and DOT/RCRA training
Preferred Qualifications
- Ability to travel nationwide at least 20% of the time
- Willingness to wear personal protection equipment including respirators and Tyvek coveralls
- Strong communication and computer skills
