Lab Pack Program Specialist

Responsibilities

• Review and approve or reject broker and self-pack packing lists prior to waste receiving.
• Provide sales support by creating estimates from site walks and inventories for lab pack, DEA, and high hazard work.
• Develop and implement classroom and in-field training for field and plant personnel.
• Provide immediate chemical and regulatory support to operations, sales, EHS, and customer service teams.
• Create packing slips and necessary documentation for proper lab pack shipments.
• Audit internal and external lab packed jobs and container packaging.
• Assist in the field for large-scale lab pack projects as required.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Chemistry, Biology, or equivalent related work experience.
• Minimum 3 years of lab pack experience, including segregation, waste code assignment, packing, and manifesting.
• Strong knowledge of EPA and DOT regulations, as well as state waste regulations.
• General knowledge of basic chemistry and waste treatment technologies.
• Current OSHA 40-hr and DOT/RCRA training.

Preferred Qualifications

• Ability to travel nationwide at least 20% of the time.
• Willingness to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) including respirators and Tyvek coveralls.
• Strong communication skills for interacting with customers and co-workers.
• High attention to detail and strong computer proficiency.
