Lab Pack Chemist I

Responsibilities

• Handle hazardous materials including inventorying, identifying, segregating, and packaging waste material
• Perform onsite services such as waste collection, consolidation, sampling, and safety inspections
• Prepare shipments by inspecting, labeling, marking, and loading waste into transport vehicles
• Complete required documentation including shipping papers, Land Disposal Restrictions (LDRs), and certifications
• Follow and promote all Health & Safety and Job Safety Analysis (JSA) procedures

Requirements

• Associates Degree in general science (BS preferred)
• Ability to obtain a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL B or C) with Hazmat Endorsement within 6 months
• Ability to pass a DOT physical and DOT drug screen

Preferred Qualifications

• Completion of 40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER training
• Experience with RCRA/DOT regulations
• Knowledge of waste management methods and lab pack procedures
