Lab Pack Chemist I

Responsibilities

• Handle hazardous materials including inventorying, identifying, segregating, and packaging waste material
• Perform onsite services such as waste collection, consolidation, sampling, and safety inspections
• Prepare shipments by inspecting, labeling, marking, and loading packaged waste into transport vehicles
• Complete required documentation including shipping papers and Land Disposal Restrictions (LDRs)
• Follow and promote all Health & Safety and Job Safety Analysis (JSA) procedures

Requirements

• Associate's degree in general science (BS preferred)
• Valid Driver's License with a clear record
• Ability to travel up to 20% overnight
• Physical ability to lift and move materials frequently exceeding 55 lbs
• Basic understanding of chemistry or biology
• Ability to obtain a CDL B within 6 months of start date
