Lab Pack Chemist I

Responsibilities

• Handle hazardous materials by inventorying, identifying, segregating, and packaging waste in accordance with regulations and company policies
• Perform onsite services including waste collection, consolidation, sampling, and safety/compliance inspections
• Prepare shipments by inspecting, labeling, marking, and loading packaged waste into transport vehicles
• Complete required documentation including shipping papers, Land Disposal Restrictions (LDRs), and certifications
• Follow and promote all Health & Safety and Job Safety Analysis (JSA) procedures
• Assist other business groups such as Depack, Retail, and HHW as needed

Requirements

• Associate's degree in general science (BS degree preferred)
• Valid Driver's License with a clear record
• Basic understanding of chemistry through general chemistry or biology
• Physical ability to frequently lift and move materials exceeding 55 lbs
• Willingness to travel approximately 20% (including overnight travel)
• Ability to obtain a CDL B within 6 months of the start date
• Ability to pass a DOT physical and DOT drug screen
