Lab Pack Chemist I

Responsibilities

• Handle hazardous materials including inventorying, identifying, segregating, and packaging waste in accordance with regulations
• Perform onsite services such as waste collection, consolidation, sampling, and safety/compliance inspections
• Prepare shipments by inspecting, labeling, marking, and loading packaged waste into transport vehicles
• Complete required documentation including shipping papers, Land Disposal Restrictions (LDRs), and certifications
• Follow and promote all Health & Safety and Job Safety Analysis (JSA) procedures
• Assist other business groups such as Depack, Retail, and HHW as needed

Requirements

• Associate's degree in general science (Bachelor of Science preferred)
• Valid Driver's License with a clear record
• Ability to lift and move materials frequently exceeding 55 lbs
• Basic understanding of chemistry through general chemistry or biology
• Ability to obtain a CDL B within 6 months of the start date
• Ability to travel moderately, including approximately 20% overnight travel
