Lab Operations Associate

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day support to ensure smooth and efficient operation of laboratories and animal facility
• Manage laboratory operations, equipment maintenance, lab safety procedures, and record keeping
• Perform digital organization and routine maintenance of lab inventories, including cell stock banking and sample storage records
• Manage and order essential lab supplies from certified vendors and maintain transaction records
• Research alternative suppliers and obtain quotes for improved logistics and pricing
• Build and manage lab operations team when necessary
• Serve as an emergency coordinator for lab equipment troubleshooting

Requirements

• Bachelor or master’s degree in life science or a relevant field
• Minimum of 2 years of lab management experience
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word
• Understanding of essential lab management records and files in a biotech environment
• Awareness of industrial safety and ability to adhere to lab policies
• Strong organizational, communication, and multi-tasking skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with laboratory supply/resupply, procurement, and inventory management systems
• Ability to learn new management software quickly
