About the role
Responsibilities
- Coordinate day-to-day operations for research studies in the BAAC and Jonides Labs
- Manage participant recruitment, scheduling, and compensation processes
- Assist with IRB-related materials, including amendments, renewals, and consent documents
- Oversee administrative operations such as lab meetings, agendas, and shared calendars
- Organize research documentation, data collection workflows, and project records
- Prepare data summaries, figures, and tables for grants, reports, and presentations
- Coordinate onboarding, training, and scheduling for 15-20 undergraduate research assistants
Requirements
- High school diploma or Associate's degree
- 1-2 years of experience working in a research lab setting (e.g., psychology, neuroscience, or behavioral research)
- Strong organizational skills and high attention to detail
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines independently and collaboratively
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Psychology or a related field
- Experience coordinating human subjects research and IRB documentation
- Familiarity with behavioral research software or data analysis tools (e.g., Qualtrics, PsychoPy, R, or Python)
- Prior experience training or coordinating undergraduate research assistants
