Lab Instructor - Petroleum Energy

Responsibilities

• Facilitate hands-on instruction and coordinate lab activities for petroleum energy students.
• Set up labs, materials, and equipment to support instructional activities.
• Maintain a safe and organized lab environment in compliance with safety standards.
• Assist faculty with demonstrations and provide supervision during lab sessions.
• Guide and support students in developing practical, hands-on technical skills.
• Monitor equipment, manage supplies, and report any maintenance needs.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Certificate in a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Previous experience in a classroom, lab, or industry setting.
• Proficiency with computers and general digital literacy.
• Strong communication, public speaking, and organizational skills.
• Valid Texas Driver’s License with a good driving record and ability to be insured by the college.

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in a related field.
• Previous experience teaching at the college or high school level.
