Lab Instructor - Automation

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with full-time faculty and the department chair to facilitate hands-on automation instruction.
• Prepare and maintain labs, equipment, and materials to support instructional activities.
• Ensure a safe and organized lab environment in compliance with all safety standards.
• Assist faculty with technical demonstrations and provide supervision during lab sessions.
• Guide and support students in developing practical, hands-on technical skills.
• Monitor equipment, manage supplies, and report any necessary maintenance needs.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Certificate in a related field or an equivalent combination of education and industry experience.
• Computer literacy and strong organizational skills.
• Excellent communication skills, including public speaking ability.
• Must possess a valid Texas Driver’s License with a good driving record and be insurable under the college's policy.

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in a related field.
• Previous experience teaching at the college or high school level.
