Lab Chemist

Responsibilities

• Research and advance methods for testing
• Approve or reject raw materials based on quality standards and record supplier performance
• Select output samples and check them using appropriate methods such as measuring dimensions and testing functionality
• Maintain detailed records of testing, information, and metrics like daily defective product counts
• Inspect production cycle procedures to ensure efficiency and compliance with safety standards
• Prepare and submit comprehensive reports to the quality manager
• Perform quality testing on incoming feedstocks, in-process products, and final products
• Conduct analytical testing using different methods related to oils and fats
• Perform calibration and checking of reagents used in testing

Requirements

• Associate's degree in a science-related field
• Minimum of 2 years of proven experience as a quality inspector or in a relevant role
• Familiarity with quality testing machines and systems
• Thorough knowledge of quality control standards and testing methodologies
• Working knowledge of MS Office
• A keen eye for detail and a results-driven approach
• Highly responsible and trustworthy professional
