Lab Assistant/Tutor-Chemistry

Responsibilities

• Tutor students in Chemistry by providing academic support and clarifying course material
• Assist with laboratory preparation for upcoming courses, including preparing chemical solutions and materials
• Perform laboratory cleanup tasks, such as washing glassware and equipment
• Maintain and restock laboratory supply inventory as needed
• Record hours worked and submit time sheets to the appropriate supervisor in a timely manner

Requirements

• Minimum of 8 semester credit hours completed in Chemistry
• Earned a grade of A in all applicable Chemistry courses

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience tutoring students
• A background in the Chemistry field
• Currently majoring in Chemistry or Biology
