Lab Assistant

Responsibilities

• Perform daily data entry from IVF and andrology worksheets into EMR
• Prepare paperwork for upcoming procedures
• Manage daily IVF laboratory cleaning and biohazard trash removal
• Prepare disposable materials used in lab procedures
• Coordinate with the Laboratory Director for effective resource use
• Organize scheduling, packaging, and shipping of genetic samples to outside laboratories
• Manage inventory and receiving of media and plasticware
• Communicate daily laboratory flow to other departments via EMR, email, or chat

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in Biology or Chemistry
• 2+ years of experience in fertility or healthcare
• Proficiency in MS Office
• Experience with electronic medical records (EMR)
• Knowledge of medical terminology and billing practices
• Exceptional communication and organizational skills
• Flexible availability including weekends and holidays

• Specialization in reproductive Biology
