Lab Assistant

Responsibilities

• Provide administrative and technical support to the laboratory team
• Assist with specimen processing, storage, and retrieval
• Wash, rinse, dry, and store laboratory glassware
• Maintain cleanliness of work areas by disinfecting benches and equipment
• Prepare and sterilize laboratory supplies and materials
• Label tubes and prepare samples for analysis
• Facilitate post-analysis storage and sample banking
• Perform routine equipment maintenance and assist with inventory management
• Support safety, quality, and 6S initiatives in compliance with regulatory requirements

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Basic knowledge of laboratory practices, safety procedures, and equipment handling
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform frequent standing and walking
• Basic computer skills for reporting and workflow control
• Familiarity with sterilization, decontamination, and hazardous waste management

Preferred Qualifications

• 0–6 months of relevant laboratory experience
