Lab Assistant

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily lab flow by checking order status and providing clerical services
• Follow health and safety protocols to maintain sanitary work areas
• Organize new lab orders and copy orders for retention requirements
• File lab results and send-out protocols
• Document final lab reports in correct charts for ordering physicians
• Prepare and maintain neat, clean patient rooms
• Communicate actions, irregularities, and continuing needs to the team

Requirements

• Proven time management, organization, and attention to detail
• Observable professionalism, productivity, and customer service
• Experience in health-related fields and knowledge of medical terminology
• Successful completion of clinical orientation
• High School Diploma or GED preferred
• Ability to read, speak, and write English
