Lab Animal Care Tech II

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize facility areas including cages, racks, pens, animal rooms, storage and support areas per SOPs
• Transport litter, feed, waste materials, equipment, and supplies to designated areas
• Prepare animal caging units, water bottles, and feed
• Assist in preparation and maintenance duties for necropsy procedures
• Perform uniform laundering and clean laboratory/experimental areas
• Monitor rooms for temperature, humidity, and light cycles

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• 1-2 years of previous job-related experience
• Ability to receive and follow instructions
• Ability to read and write
• Valid Driver’s License
• Basic computer skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate's degree or equivalent training
• ALAT Certification (Assistant Laboratory Animal Technician)
