About the role
Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze samples according to SGS analytical SOPs using specific instrumentation
- Perform routine operation, maintenance, and calibration of laboratory instruments and equipment
- Assist with validation and MDL studies
- Support investigations and prepare responses to client inquiries and CARs
- Input and maintain technical information to support laboratory operations
- Maintain Laboratory Notebook where applicable
- Adhere to internal standards, policies, and safety procedures
Requirements
- Associate Degree in Chemistry or similar scientific discipline with 0-2 years of analytical chemistry lab experience, OR 3 years of relevant sample preparation experience
- Basic mathematical and reasoning skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word)
- Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull upwards of 25 lbs frequently
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry or similar scientific discipline with 1-2 years of relevant analytical chemistry lab experience
- Experience with LIMS
