L.I.T. Coordinator

Responsibilities

• Recruit, schedule, and direct teen volunteers (ages 13-17) within a summer day camp structure
• Support the leadership and growth development of Leaders in Training (L.I.T.) participants
• Build relationships with L.I.T. participants at Heritage Park Temple and Southlands Community Church
• Collaborate with the Day Camp Program Coordinator to assign tasks and integrate L.I.T.s into daily operations
• Plan and implement weekly team-building opportunities and training for the L.I.T. program
• Work closely with Day Camp staff, congregational members, and community partners
• Maintain confidentiality regarding teens, children, and families involved in the program
• Uphold health and safety policies and share the message of the Gospel as appropriate

Requirements

• High School Diploma
• Valid Driver’s License and access to a reliable vehicle
• Experience leading or working with youth programs, preferably in a church setting
• Valid Police Check with vulnerable sector screening
• Valid First Aid/CPR certificate (or willingness to receive training)
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain high energy levels
