About the role
Responsibilities
- Serve as a liaison between the L.I.G.H.T. Program and various community partners
- Plan and organize service and social justice initiatives for the 2026-2027 academic year
- Manage logistics for the pilot Pre-Orientation program for first-year students
- Coordinate summer training, meetings, and expectations for L.I.G.H.T. Leaders
- Maintain and update the volunteer database for the Center for Service & Social Justice
- Assist in planning Social Justice Theme Months and Community Engagement Day
- Research current trends in service and social justice to plan relevant campus events
- Visit community partners to assess past performance and plan for the upcoming year
- Create or update marketing materials and reflection resources for the program
Requirements
- At least one year of volunteer experience (through L.I.G.H.T. Program or equivalent)
- Demonstrated commitment to service and social justice
- Valid driver's license and willingness to become van certified
- Strong communication, organizational, and professional skills
- Ability to work independently as a self-starter
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience serving as a student leader
- Familiarity with Stonehill College's service programs and mission
