KYC Ops Analyst

Responsibilities

• Execute KYC screening and due diligence routines for prospects and customers, including PEP analysis and negative media investigations.
• Analyze screening results against regulatory and sanctions lists such as OFAC, UN, SAT 69, and Lista de Personas Bloqueadas.
• Manage FATCA/CRS compliance routines to ensure accurate customer identification and regulatory treatment.
• Partner with AML Ops and FinSec Ops teams to evaluate high-risk clients and reach coordinated decisions.
• Identify opportunities to strengthen internal controls and improve KYC operational processes.
• Support internal queries regarding KYC and screening routines with clear guidance.

Requirements

• Hands-on experience in KYC, compliance, AML, or regulatory operations within a financial institution.
• Solid understanding of Mexican KYC regulatory requirements, including PEP screening and sanctions list verification.
• Strong analytical and investigative skills to conduct thorough case reviews and form technical opinions.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and meet regulatory deadlines independently.
• Clear and effective written and verbal communication in Spanish and/or English.
• Meticulous attention to detail and high standards of integrity.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with customer onboarding, registration updates, or acquisition compliance processes.
• Proficiency in Excel, Google Sheets, Looker, or SQL for data tracking and operational analysis.
• Exposure to process improvement or internal control projects within a compliance environment.
