KYC Operations Team Lead - Regional

Responsibilities

• Lead and coach a team of KYC Analysts, driving a culture of ownership, accountability, and continuous learning.
• Manage team performance by measuring KPIs, conducting regular one-on-one coaching, and ensuring quality standards are met.
• Oversee daily operations, including conducting thorough customer due diligence (CDD) and managing complex, high-risk escalations.
• Identify and implement process improvements to increase operational efficiency and mitigate risk.
• Implement a robust quality assurance framework to ensure accuracy and adherence to regulatory obligations.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and central functions to communicate insights, reports, and strategic initiatives.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in Operations, preferably within CDD, EDD, AML, or Risk Assessment domains.
• Strong understanding of the regulatory framework surrounding KYC and AML.
• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
• Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment and manage multiple priorities.
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills with a proactive, problem-solving mindset.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Law, or a related field.
• Professional certifications such as ICA or CAMS.
• 1-2 years of experience specifically in KYC/AML, financial crime, or compliance within financial services.
• Previous experience leading small to medium-sized teams.
• Proficiency with analytics tools such as Looker or Superset.
