KYC Operations Team Lead - Platform

Responsibilities

• Conduct initial and ongoing Customer Due Diligence (CDD) and Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) reviews using a risk-based approach.
• Verify customer information, identity documents, complex business structures, and ultimate beneficial ownership.
• Monitor customer transaction history to identify patterns that may indicate financial risk.
• Perform customer risk assessments and escalate suspicious activities or potential money laundering to relevant teams.
• Maintain accurate customer records and ensure compliance with data privacy and internal security protocols.
• Support the team by providing training and mentoring to KYC Operations Associate Analysts.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and contribute to policy updates and standard operating procedures.
• Communicate effectively with customers via phone, email, and chat to resolve onboarding or compliance queries.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in Operations, preferably within CDD, EDD, AML, or compliance roles.
• Working knowledge of global KYC/AML compliance regulations and standards.
• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
• Strong analytical, decision-making, and organizational skills with high attention to detail.
• Ability to work autonomously and adhere to strict KPIs in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
• Flexibility to work in shifts, including early mornings, late evenings, weekends, and public holidays.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Law, or a related field.
• Professional certifications such as ICA, CAMS, or equivalent CDD/EDD focused credentials.
