KYC Operations Senior Analyst

Responsibilities

• Review and assess high-risk customer reports to provide analysis and approval according to set policies.
• Conduct enhanced due diligence (EDD) and analyze customer transaction history and behavior patterns.
• Perform in-depth research using external sources, company registries, and third-party vendors to ensure customers meet risk appetite.
• Communicate with internal teams to handle escalated or complicated cases.
• Provide guidance and responses to daily inquiries from peers and management regarding high-risk approvals.
• Maintain a deep understanding of AML/CFT regulations and their impact on Wise products and services.
• Draft SAR narratives for unusual activity and contribute to policy updates and standard operating procedures.
• Mentor and support Senior Management Approval Analysts through training and coaching.

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in EDD, AML, or a similar Financial Crime compliance role.
• Strong understanding of AML/CFT regulations and the ability to document reasoning effectively.
• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
• Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends, evenings, and public holidays.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to make risk-based decisions in a fast-paced environment.
• Must have the full, unrestricted right to work in Estonia (no visa sponsorship provided).

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Law, or a related field.
• Professional certifications such as ICA, CAMS, or equivalent EDD/AML focused credentials.
