About the role
Responsibilities
- Own the full lifecycle of Kubernetes clusters, including design, provisioning, upgrades, and capacity planning across cloud and on-premises environments.
- Define and enforce cluster architecture standards, such as multi-tenancy models, RBAC policies, and network segmentation.
- Lead the design and operation of cluster networking (CNI, Ingress, DNS) and persistent storage strategies (CSI, distributed storage).
- Build and maintain GitOps delivery pipelines using ArgoCD for continuous deployment of workloads and configurations.
- Operate observability stacks covering monitoring (Prometheus, Grafana), logging (Loki), and distributed tracing (OpenTelemetry).
- Support AI/ML platform workloads, including GPU scheduling and batch pipelines.
- Collaborate with software engineers and DevOps teams to ensure reliable workload execution across hybrid and multi-cloud environments.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- 7+ years of experience in infrastructure or platform engineering.
- 4+ years of deep, hands-on Kubernetes expertise in production environments.
- Proven experience managing multi-cluster, multi-cloud, or hybrid Kubernetes environments at scale.
- Proficiency in Go or Python for platform tooling and automation.
- Strong scripting skills (Ansible, Bash/Shell) and experience with GitOps tools like ArgoCD, Helm, or Kustomize.
- Strong written and spoken English fluency.
Preferred Qualifications
- Kubernetes certifications such as CKA, CKAD, or CKS.
- Experience operating databases on Kubernetes (PostgreSQL, MongoDB, etc.).
- Familiarity with GPU workload scheduling for AI/ML use cases.
- Experience in a complex, international, or humanitarian environment.
- Agile/SAFe certification.
