Kubernetes Platform Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design and build full-stack cloud-native solutions using AWS services to support global cross-functional teams
• Develop and maintain high-quality code with a focus on automated testing, validation, and scalability
• Work closely with architects and business groups to identify and translate complex technical needs into optimal feature delivery
• Build and manage resilient platforms using AWS ECS, Docker, and Fargate
• Implement and manage security stacks including IAM, Secrets Manager, and OIDC
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to other engineers on best practices and operational excellence
• Utilize observability tools like CloudWatch and Splunk to monitor platform health and performance

Requirements

• Strong proficiency in Python for cloud development
• Extensive experience with AWS CloudFormation for Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
• Hands-on experience with containerization technologies including Docker, ECS, and Fargate
• Experience with CI/CD automated pipelines and DevOps deployment practices
• Proficiency with AWS security services such as IAM
• Experience with application integration via REST APIs and API Gateways
• Familiarity with observability and logging tools like CloudWatch and Splunk

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Node.js or Java
• Exposure to Agile development methodologies
• Experience with build and deploy technologies such as GitHub
• Familiarity with observability frameworks like OTel or Honeycomb
• Knowledge of security scanning tools such as Crowdstrike or Wiz
