About the role
Responsibilities
- Deploy, manage, and upgrade Kubernetes clusters across on-prem and public cloud environments
- Implement RBAC, network policies, ingress controllers, and Kubernetes security frameworks
- Automate cluster provisioning and deployments with Terraform, Helm, and ArgoCD
- Integrate Kubernetes with CI/CD and GitOps workflows
- Build observability and troubleshooting practices using Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, and Fluentd/Fluent Bit
- Support backup and restore strategies for hybrid and cloud workloads
- Collaborate with DevOps, SRE, security, and application teams
Requirements
- Experience with Kubernetes cluster administration and operations
- Hands-on knowledge of Terraform, Helm, and GitOps tools
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, and GCP
- Strong understanding of observability and troubleshooting in containerized environments
- CKA highly preferred; CKAD, CKS, and DevOps/cloud certifications are a plus
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with service mesh tools such as Istio or Linkerd
- Exposure to backup tools like Velero, Kasten, or Stash
- Open-source contributions in Kubernetes-related projects
- Experience with Spectro Cloud or Incus
