Korea Analyst

Responsibilities

• Conduct fundamental research on Korean equities across sectors, including business model assessment, competitive positioning, and risk analysis
• Build and maintain detailed financial models
• Analyze Korean-language sources including earnings releases, investor presentations, filings, news, and broker research
• Monitor macro, industry, and regulatory developments affecting Korean markets
• Produce high-quality investment memos, research notes, and internal presentations for portfolio managers
• Participate in earnings calls, translate and summarize key takeaways, and track guidance vs. market expectations
• Engage with company IR teams and management in Korean to gather insights and clarify disclosures
• Support portfolio construction and ongoing position monitoring through performance attribution and catalyst tracking

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in equity research, asset management, hedge fund, investment banking, or related buy-side/sell-side role with Korea exposure
• Strong research, financial modelling, analytical and valuation skills
• Undergraduate degree in finance, commerce, or business administration
• Native proficiency in Korean
• Good verbal and written communication skills in English
• CFA or CA designation is an asset
