Responsibilities

• Develop and design complex mechanical test systems and sub-assemblies within interdisciplinary teams for high-tech applications.
• Translate system-level test device specifications into detailed mechanical constructions and adaptation concepts.
• Perform requirement analyses for assemblies and systems, including the creation of technical specifications for mechanical components.
• Evaluate various solution variants considering requirements from electronics, sensors, electrical drives, thermal effects, and mechatronics.
• Create detailed design drafts, including the determination of tolerances, materials, surface treatments, and manufacturing processes.
• Supervise hardware production during component manufacturing, assembly, and system commissioning, including managing external contractors.

Requirements

• Degree in Mechatronics, Precision Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Several years of professional experience in the design and development of mechatronic systems.
• Proficiency in 3D-CAD systems, preferably CATIA V5/V6.
• Experience with PDM systems, preferably SmarTeam and/or 3DEXPERIENCE.
• Strong command of the English language (written and spoken).
• Structured, methodical, and solution-oriented approach to complex tasks.
• Ability to work both independently and effectively within a team.
