Knowledge Management Specialist

Responsibilities

• Execute and oversee records management programs in compliance with Department of the Air Force and Department of War directives
• Develop and maintain electronic file plans, data disposition schedules, and ensure compliance for classified and CUI records
• Champion knowledge sharing by aligning information architecture with mission objectives and developing KM strategies and taxonomies
• Serve as the primary subject matter expert for the DAF365 environment, including SharePoint Online, Microsoft Teams, and OneDrive
• Optimize workflow platforms such as Jira and Confluence to ensure secure and organized data integration
• Identify process bottlenecks and implement streamlined workflows and training for personnel on KM best practices
• Support the tracking of action items, taskers, and oversight boards to maintain operational cadence

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Knowledge Management, Business Administration, or related field (or 10 years of relevant professional experience)
• Demonstrated experience with DoW/DAF Records Management policies, lifecycle management, and Electronic Records Management (ERM)
• Advanced proficiency in managing DAF365 enterprise collaboration tools, specifically SharePoint Online and Microsoft Teams within DoD security boundaries
• Proven experience developing KM strategies, taxonomies, and information architecture within complex government or military organizations
• Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills with the ability to train personnel on technical concepts
• Active TS/SCI Clearance with SAP eligibility

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree or professional certifications such as Certified Knowledge Manager (CKM) or PMP
• Experience with DoD acquisition processes, lifecycles, and required documentation
• Lean Six Sigma certification or similar experience in process improvement
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in knowledge management or information architecture within a federal environment
