About the role
Responsibilities
- Conduct end-to-end Customer Due Diligence (CDD) and Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) for complex or high-risk KYC cases.
- Monitor, investigate, and provide opinions on alerts generated by KYC systems in accordance with established procedures.
- Review and verify high-risk customer identification documentation during the onboarding process.
- Ensure timely escalation of high-risk cases to appropriate teams for further investigation.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including compliance, legal, and customer support, to resolve KYC-related inquiries.
- Contribute to the development of KYC operational processes, guidelines, procedures, and reporting requirements.
- Perform Quality Control on KYC due diligence processes where applicable.
Requirements
- Degree in Economics, Finance, Banking, Business Administration, or a similar field.
- 2+ years of professional experience in AML/KYC, Compliance, Audit, or Anti-Financial Crime within the financial services or fintech sector.
- Strong analytical and research skills with the ability to investigate complex issues.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- A growth mindset and a commitment to collaborative teamwork.
Preferred Qualifications
- In-depth understanding of KYC regulations, AML laws, and global compliance frameworks.
- Knowledge of the German regulatory framework and local best practices.
- Proficiency in German language skills.
- Familiarity with KYC/AML screening tools, databases, and digital banking platforms.
- Relevant professional accreditations, such as ACAMS or similar.
