Kitchen Steward

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of all kitchen areas, equipment, and utensils according to HACCP standards
• Wash and sanitize dishes, glassware, and cooking utensils promptly using dishwashing machines
• Ensure proper waste segregation and disposal, adhering to sustainability policies like recycling and composting
• Assist chefs and kitchen staff by ensuring the availability of clean tools and organized cookware
• Monitor cleaning supplies and restock as necessary while safeguarding equipment from breakage
• Use eco-friendly cleaning agents to align with the brand's wellness and sustainability principles
• Assist in setting up and breaking down dining areas for events and wellness programs
• Follow all health and safety procedures to prevent accidents and report maintenance issues promptly

Requirements

• Prior experience in a stewarding role, preferably in wellness hospitality or high-end hotels
• Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations (HACCP knowledge is essential)
• Physically fit and capable of handling a hands-on, active role in a fast-paced environment
• Basic understanding of eco-friendly cleaning practices and sustainable operations
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to be flexible and adaptable to changing kitchen demands
