About the role
Responsibilities
- Clean and sanitize all kitchen equipment, utensils, and work areas
- Operate dishwashing machines and handle cleaning chemicals safely
- Maintain cleanliness of floors, storage rooms, and waste disposal areas
- Ensure proper waste segregation and disposal procedures
- Assist chefs with basic food preparation when required
- Support the kitchen team during busy service periods
- Follow hygiene, safety, and sanitation standards at all times
- Report any maintenance or equipment issues promptly
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Steward or in a similar role preferred
- Strong understanding of hygiene and sanitation practices
- Physically fit and able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Reliable, punctual, and committed to maintaining cleanliness
- Ability to work shifts, weekends, and holidays
- Positive attitude and willingness to support the team
