About the role
Responsibilities
- Assist in food preparation and service at cafe stations through meal periods
- Assist culinary staff in the kitchen with food prep, batch cooking, and special events
- Prepare items for cold and hot entrees, salads, breads, rolls, pastry, and desserts
- Sort, wash, and store dishes for the operation
- Restock dishes on service lines as time allows
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of restaurant equipment and dishes
- Perform other relevant duties as assigned
Requirements
- Ability to perform quality work within deadlines
- Professional interaction with employees, customers, and suppliers
- Ability to work effectively as a team contributor and independently
- Must possess or obtain a current Oregon Food handler’s card
- Ability to meet uniform standards and utilize Personal Protective Equipment
- Ability to frequently bend, stoop, and perform extensive walking
- Ability to occasionally lift up to 20 pounds
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous kitchen experience
