About the role
Responsibilities
- Lead Back of House operations with professionalism, consistency, and respect
- Maintain a positive kitchen culture and foster teamwork and accountability
- Partner with hiring managers on BOH recruitment, onboarding, and training
- Create and maintain structured kitchen training programs using written recipes and visual tools
- Oversee food preparation, portioning, and recipe consistency
- Manage food costs using XtraChef to meet a 30% goal
- Monitor BOH labor to maintain a 12% labor goal
- Conduct weekly or monthly inventory and place food/supply orders
- Ensure compliance with health department regulations and sanitation standards
- Complete weekly BOH schedules and monitor overtime
Requirements
- Proven experience leading a professional kitchen
- Current Food Handler Management certification
- Working knowledge of XtraChef and Toast
- Strong leadership, organization, and communication skills
- Ability to delegate responsibilities and follow up consistently
- Ability to pass a required background check
