About the role

Responsibilities

  • Manage daily kitchen operations, culinary functions, and employee performance
  • Oversee inventory, ordering, and provisioning of food and supplies to maintain par levels
  • Control food, beverage, supply, utility, and labor costs to maximize profitability
  • Ensure highest standards of service efficiency, sanitation, and safety compliance
  • Direct hiring, training, supervision, and development of kitchen staff
  • Coordinate production for events and functions
  • Oversee station setup, plate presentation, and adherence to recipe guidelines
  • Manage culinary schedules based on forecasted business volume
  • Investigate and resolve complaints regarding food quality or service

Requirements

  • Minimum 7 years of kitchen experience (food prep, line cook, expediter)
  • Minimum 3 years in a management or supervisory role
  • Active ServSafe Manager certificate
  • Proficiency in food planning, purchasing, sanitation, and personnel management
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, and Outlook

Preferred Qualifications

  • Culinary degree
