Kitchen & Laundry Equipment Technician

Responsibilities

• Inspect, maintain, and repair kitchen equipment including ovens, stoves, grills, refrigerators, freezers, and dishwashers
• Service laundry equipment such as washers, dryers, steamers, and ironers
• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance to avoid equipment breakdowns
• Respond quickly to urgent repair requests from kitchen and housekeeping departments
• Diagnose faults in electrical and mechanical systems
• Coordinate with vendors for specialized repairs or parts procurement
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and fire regulations for electrical and gas appliances
• Maintain documentation of maintenance activities and equipment history
• Assist in the installation and setup of new equipment

Requirements

• Technical diploma or certification in Mechanical, Electrical, or Refrigeration trades
• 2–3 years of relevant experience in a hotel or commercial kitchen/laundry environment
• Strong knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and gas systems
• Ability to read equipment manuals, technical diagrams, and schematics
• Basic computer skills for reporting and maintenance logs
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
• Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and be on-call if needed
