Kitchen Helper

Responsibilities

• Assist the cook in the preparation of specific food items and the serving of food
• Wash all crockery, cutlery, dishes, saucepans, and pots used in the kitchen and dining room
• Bus dishes from the dining room and maintain tables and chairs in a clean, tidy condition
• Clean kitchen floors and other specified areas to maintain hygiene standards
• Follow the time management schedule drafted by the Food Services Manager
• Assist in all fire emergencies and perform other related duties as assigned

Requirements

• Minimum of one year of kitchen or restaurant helper experience
• Food Safe 1 basic certification
• Ability to read and write
• Verification of a negative TB skin test
• Ability to provide a clear Criminal Record Check and vulnerable sector screening
• Possession of non-slip safety work boots
