Kitchen Helper

Responsibilities

• Set up the dining room and serve meals to guests
• Maintain dining room cleanliness by tidying tables and chairs
• Perform cleaning duties including sweeping and washing floors in the kitchen, stockroom, and dining areas
• Clean kitchen equipment, stoves, fryers, ovens, and washrooms daily
• Wash, dry, and store all dishes, pots, pans, and utensils
• Restock cleaning and washroom supplies daily
• Assist in the preparation of simple meals and drinks
• Adhere to safe food handling procedures and hygiene standards to prevent cross-contamination
• Operate kitchen equipment safely and follow all health and safety protocols

Requirements

• High school completion or equivalent
• Standard First Aid, CPR, and AED certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Up to 3 months of related experience in a kitchen or service environment
• Ability to stand for long periods and perform physical tasks such as bending, kneeling, and lifting up to 30 lbs

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in a team-oriented environment
• Strong interpersonal and oral communication skills
• Demonstrated patience and professionalism when interacting with others
