Kitchen Hand/Barista

Responsibilities

• Oversee cleanliness and organization of kitchen spaces, including dishwashing and replenishing supplies
• Manage daily breakfast delivery across multiple floors, ensuring neat presentation and prompt pack-down
• Prepare a range of coffees, juices, and smoothies following specific recipes and standards
• Operate espresso machines proficiently, adjusting grind settings and monitoring extraction
• Froth and steam milk to correct texture and temperature
• Greet customers, take orders, and provide drink recommendations
• Maintain equipment cleanliness, including espresso machines and grinders
• Track and restock coffee beans, milk, and other supplies
• Adhere to food safety and hygiene standards

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of experience in specialty coffee
• Experience with stock management, maintenance, reporting, and ordering
• Experience working in fast-paced environments
• Excellent customer service skills
• Strong time management and ability to stay composed under pressure
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience liaising with café supply providers
• Basic computer skills using Google Suite
