Kitchen Cleaner

Responsibilities

• Wash pots and pans using three-compartment sinks, Power Soak, and rack washers
• Record water temperatures and sanitizing pH levels accurately in logs
• Sweep and mop kitchen floors, clean drains, floor mats, and hand wash sinks
• Clean various kitchen equipment including kettles, hoods, ovens, and steamers
• Empty garbage and clean containers in a timely manner
• Maintain a clean and organized work area and follow the Master Cleaning schedule
• Assist with the warewash area and complete special project cleaning as assigned

Requirements

• One year of experience cleaning in an institutional setting
• Experience operating institutional cleaning equipment (e.g., rack washers, three-compartment sinks)
• Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting up to 50 pounds and pushing/pulling up to 35 pounds
• Ability to stand for up to 8 hours and perform bending and reaching
• English comprehension skills to read instructions, chemical labels, and maintain logs
